We are currently seeking a passionate, enthusiastic, and compassionate Illinois-licensed Pediatric Speech and Language Pathologist to join our growing team. This PART-TIME position includes afternoon and Saturday hours.
Your Role at KidsConnect
As a Speech and Language Pathologist at KidsConnect, you are a vital part of our team, working together with therapists, families, and the community to create meaningful progress in the lives of children and teens. Your contributions will include:
Conducting comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, analyzing results, and crafting detailed and insightful documentation.
Nurturing each client’s unique strengths through hands-on, play-based therapy (DIR Floortime knowledge is a plus).
Developing and implementing individualized or group therapy plans tailored to meet each client’s needs and goals (Natural Language Acquisition skills are a great asset).
Educating and empowering families and schools (when needed) to foster skill development in daily life.
Collaborating and co-treating with Occupational Therapists and Mental Health Specialists to create a seamless, team-focused therapeutic experience.
What You Bring to Our Team
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
A Master’s Degree in speech-language pathology/communicative disorders (or equivalent) from an accredited college or university.
An Illinois State License and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
Preferably, one year of experience working with children aged 0-18, treating ADHD, Autism, Speech/Language/Developmental Delays, Phonological/Articulation Disorders, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, Motor Coordination Disorder, and/or Feeding Difficulties.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
A genuine passion for working with children with special needs, fostering growth and potential.
